The Post and Courier, South Carolina’s biggest newspaper, is featuring the soon-to-open Lowcountry Acceleration Academy, its dynamic founding director and the opportunities she and her team will offer to students who haven’t found success in other high schools.
The article spotlighted Dr. Jacinta Bryant, a Charleston native and veteran educational leader who has been selected to lead the academy when it opens in August. In the article, Bryant said the flexible scheduling and personalized approach of Acceleration Academies could propel learners who want a diploma to pave the way for higher education, better jobs and other opportunities.
“Our goal is to really align with the individual needs of the student,” Bryant told the newspaper. “That’s what education should be about.”
