Our flexible education program is designed to serve students ready to engage in their education to reach their goal of earning a high school diploma.

- DeKalb County School District students in grades 9-12 between the ages of 14-20.
- Students must have completed all 8th grade courses.
- Students who have dropped out of a DeKalb County school are eligible to enroll unless they are age 20 before Sept 1.
- Students who are behind and need to make up credits.
- Students who need to finish high school graduation requirements and would benefit from focusing on one class at a time. One class = .5 credits.

Acceleration Academies is tuition-free! Free snacks and drinks are provided in the academy café.

Transportation is not provided at this location. Because students are required to attend in person, you must provide your own transportation to the academy.

- Students take one course at a time; students can complete each course in an average of 3-4 weeks
- Students are encouraged to attend in person for 12 hours and work 12 hours remotely
- One class = .5 credits
- Students must attend in person if course progress is not made

Students graduate with a DeKalb County School District diploma. We hold in-person graduation ceremonies so that students and their families can celebrate their achievements.

Our purpose is to help students to earn their diplomas! We partner with DeKalb County School District to provide support that will lead to our students’ future success!
- Classes are designed to be completed 1 at a time within 3-4 weeks.
- We are open year-round allowing for flexibility in scheduling and minimal disruption in momentum.
- Curriculum is available 24 hours a day and teachers are one email or call away.
- Content Coaches — that's what we call our teachers — are available to each student in-person and remotely to provide personalized support and intervention on a flexible schedule.
- Every student is assigned a Graduation Candidate Advocate that meets with them multiple times a week to support their success and engagement.
- Life and Career Coaches are available at the campus to provide guidance and resources to help students achieve their graduation goal and plan for post-secondary success.
- Acceleration Academies offers laptop computers for students who need them.

4 Steps to Get Started
Check Your Age
DeKalb County Acceleration Academies is available for DeKalb County School District students in grades 9-12 between the ages of 16-20. Students who have dropped out of school for one quarter or more are eligible to enroll in the appropriate general education programs unless they reach the age of 20 before September 1
Create an Account
First, create an account. Then, follow the instructions to select the academy nearest you, and fill out the required forms. Call us at 866-208-3324 if you need help!
Complete Enrollment
We’ll look over your forms and let you know if we need anything else. If we don’t, we’ll approve your enrollment and schedule your orientation.
Visit Academy & Start Orientation
Once you are approved, we'll schedule you for in-person orientation at the academy. At orientation you'll receive your personalized learning plan, tour the academy, and get started in your online classes!

How We're Different
DeKalb County Acceleration Academies works in partnership with DeKalb County School District to offer an alternative option for students who need more flexibility and support than what’s typically offered in traditional high schools. Each student receives a personalized learning plan with a flexible mix of online coursework, one-on-one coaching, and social-emotional support. We design it all to work with your life outside of school.

Preparing You For The Future
Our model provides students with a Career and Life Coach who works one-on-one with them to explore and select the right post-graduate career path. We prepare our graduates for internships, college, military service, skilled trades, well-paying jobs, and more! Students can also participate in relevant, hands-on, and engaging Career and Technical Education programs coordinated by their Career & Life coach. In these programs, students can earn industry certifications, gain real-world experience, and graduate confidently knowing their next steps toward a successful life.
