What is Santa Rosa Acceleration Academies Referral Program?

May 28, 2025
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As part of the Santa Rosa County District Schools’ commitment to supporting students’ individual needs, the District is pleased to announce a pivotal development in alternative education. The District’s new partnership with Santa Rosa Acceleration Academies promises to redefine the approach to supportive alternative education that integrates comprehensive support services with flexible scheduling and a welcoming learning environment.
When the 2025-2026 school year begins on August 11, Santa Rosa Acceleration Academies will be ready to support students in The Russell Center, located between Santa Rosa High School and Locklin Technical College, at 5330 Berryhill Road in Milton. Our welcoming academy learning environment is set up with intentionality for our student population, including adaptive layouts, flexible seating and standing desks, multi-textured furniture, and communal seating.
In the coming weeks, you'll receive a letter and emails inviting you to group information sessions in June to learn more about our program. We'll offer these presentations both in person and virtually (via Zoom). Then, later this summer, we'll invite you to attend individual enrollment/academic transition meetings and an orientation session.
We are still working through many details regarding transportation, operating hours, and our permanent site location. Please read our flyer for more information on our program, and visit our website at SantaRosa.AccelerationAcademies.org periodically throughout the summer for more updates to come.
We look forward to meeting you soon!
Sincerely,
Santa Rosa Acceleration Academies

Serving Middle and High School
Santa Rosa Acceleration Academies works in partnership with Santa Rosa County District Schools, to offer an alternative education option for middle and high school students in Santa Rosa County, Florida.

Comprehensive Student Support
Mentors and life coaches address nonacademic barriers faced by young adults. Students receive academic coaching, encouragement, and support from their content coaches. Students will learn to develop their own personal growth plan, self-regulation strategies, and paths beyond graduation.

Quality Staff Members & Academics
Our staff of certified teachers provide personalized and small group instruction both in-person and virtually to ensure that students are making academic progress and mastering content in their courses.
Academically, students will transition to SRAA and continue their academic classwork in Edmentum, a web-based content management system, for their course work.
Designed for Success
